WA Cafe is a Japanese Patisserie located in Covent Garden and Ealing Broadway. They serve a unique range of Japanese breads and pastries which aren’t overly sweet. The cafe itself has a relaxing atmosphere which is perfect for people who want to relax and enjoy their pastry. My personal favourite is the raspberry and pistachio tart as the sourness of the raspberry compliments the sweetness of the tart very well. If you’re not in the mood for a pastry you can always try their tea!
Although Shack-Fuyu is a restaurant and not a cafe, their kinako french toast is a must try. Kinako is the Japanese word for toasted soy bean flour, which tastes similar to roasted peanuts. The french toasts comes with soft serve matcha (green tea ice cream) and is one of my favourite desserts in London! The dessert is quite filling so I would recommend sharing one between two people.
Kova Patisserie is a cake/tea shop that provides a mix of Japanese/French patisseries and tea. They are well known for their wide selection of mille crepes and Japanese souffle cheesecake. My favourite cake is the matcha mille crepe cake, which has a rich but delicate taste. If you are a cheesecake lover I strongly recommend the Japanese souffle cheesecake!
