Hey guys, I’ve been rather inactive and out of touch with my blog so I thought I’d come and give you guys some update. As you know, my boyfriend has gone back to Malaysia and we’re back to doing long distance again. He’s now working in Malaysia and I’m currently in the UK doing a Master’s in Management.
Although UK is currently in lockdown, I still go into campus around 3 times a week for lectures (most of my lectures are still face-to-face). It feels pretty weird discussing about businesses and their strategies instead of working on engineering problems, but at least I don’t have to memorize hundreds of equations now hahahaha.
I definitely want to start uploading more posts on my blog so stay tuned. Just gotta wait for lockdown to be over so I can go out again lol. Maybe I’ll do a day in my life as a Master’s student?
Hey guys! I’ve been pretty busy over the past few weeks and haven’t had much free time. This is because I’m currently on a 5 week intense CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) course. I have to plan and teach 3 hours of class to two different levels of learners along with completing 4 courseworks. I have just finished my third week so I am over halfway which means that I will be able to blog more frequently in two weeks! For those that are curious what I teach, I have included some of the presentation that I used for my most recent lesson 🙂
I’ve done 3 hours of teaching already but I still get VERY nervous when I’m teaching. I guess it’s something that I have to get used to and it’s something that takes time?
I’m not gonna lie I did have a breakdown in the first week as the workload was crazy. The course is pretty tough and intense but hey, by the end of the course I’ll be able to teach English anywhere around the world (if I pass…).
Hey guys! I haven’t been able to post as much over the past few days as I’ve been quite busy 😦 Just wanted to share with you that I have officially graduated from university and have now got a BEng in Civil Engineering! It’s been a pretty crazy and hectic year so this was a pretty happy moment for me.
I’ll try to post more once I’m not as busy as well 😀
Checked the weather forecast in the morning to see that it was going to be a beautiful sunny day. So, I decided to take this opportunity to hire bicycles and cycle up to Mumbles! There’s a cycle path from Swansea to Mumbles so we didn’t need to be on the road which was a plus. It was around a 6km ride from Swansea to Mumbles which wasn’t too far. We also spotted an ice cream van on our way so we obviously made an ice cream stop.
Once we got to Mumbles we were feeling rather peckish so we decided to get some pizza. While waiting for our pizza I had a mini photoshoot cause the lighting was working its magic 😀
Didn’t get to take a lot of photos cause we were recording for most of our journey. I am planning to make a Youtube video on our trip so stay tuned!
Hey guys! I’ve been running my blog for just over a month now and would like to know what you think of it! Let me know if there is something you like in particular/ what content you would like to see more of 😀 Suggestions for improvements are also welcome. Please let me know in the comments 🙂
I went on a short trip with a my friends a couple of years ago to Rome, Italy. We stayed for 3 nights 4 days near Vatican City.
We went to visit the Vatican Museums where they display famous art and sculptures from Italy (around 20,000 on display). The walls and ceilings were beautifully displayed with magnificent paintings and drawings. It was definitely worth the visit!
While we were visiting the Vatican Museums we found a nice vibrant yellow wall so we took this opportunity to have a mini photoshoot session 😀
We had A LOT of pasta and pizza during our stay which were pretty damn good. My favourite dish was definitely the carbonara which I couldn’t get enough of. The spaghetti in Rome was perfectly al dente.
We wanted to visit St. Peter’s Basilica but the queue to get in was insane! It was around a 3 hour wait to get in so we decided to give it a miss (too hot to queue in the middle of the summer). I would recommend buying a ticket in advance online so you can skip the queue.
That’s it for today! Just one more thing I want to tell you about Rome are the the pickpockets and scammers! There were a lot of scammers trying to get you to buy tickets from them. Make sure to buy your tickets from the attraction itself to avoid being scammed. I also recommend carrying your bags in front of you as my friend got her purse stolen within the first hour of being in Rome! Luckily she had some extra cash hidden in her suitcase so it wasn’t a complete disaster. Just make sure your bag is in your sight and you’ll be fine 😀
